Who I Work With
I serve micro-cap (less than $100 million revenue) organizations striving to become their market leader. I seek first to understand what the client’s specific objectives are, and then I engage in one or multiple ways to meet and exceed their expectations.
Organizational Assessment
The cornerstone of any consulting relationship, this comprehensive evaluation of an organization’s structure, processes, and performance gives a clear picture of how well the organization is functioning today and provides a recommended roadmap to have the foundation to become a market leader in its vertical.
The areas covered include:
-
People
-
Processes
-
Tool Sets
-
Documentation
-
Business Plan
-
Marketing
-
Sales
-

-

Each section of the Organizational Assessment begins with a SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis overview, followed by observations, implementations made or to be made, and recommendations for further improvements.
Executive Coaching
Leadership is a full contact sport. All great performers rely on a coach in their resource bag. Thirty-plus years as a CEO leading people and teams has resulted in bespoke programs focusing on People Development, Navigating Change, Self-Awareness, Personal Branding, Conflict Resolution, Self-Care, Life-Long Learning, Innovation, Vision Building, Strategic Planning, and Communication.
Strategic Planning/Meeting Facilitation
Whether you have implemented your strategic plan, need help facilitating its implementation, or are starting from scratch, the process is the same. Clear alignment around Core Values, Mission, Vision, Targets, Timeframes, Key Initiatives, Quarterly and Annual Actions, and Accountability are key for success.
The best results are achieved when the plan is constructed such that every individual and every department can clearly see how their achievement aligns with and contributes to the organization’s overall objective.
Specific programs can be tailored to meet you where you are.
Private Equity and M&A Consulting
Technology recurring revenue businesses are in great demand. Over half of these firms were founded over 25 years ago. Most of these founders are in their late 50’s to 70’s and are beginning to create succession plans for their businesses, including intra-family sales, management buyouts, private equity sales, and ESOP’s.
Combined with a steady increase in the rate of new solutions providers brought on by new technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and low barriers to entry, competition is increasing. This is creating a favorable market for transactions with a variety of valuations and structuring.
As a recent exit with a private equity group and years’ experience in the public market of buying and selling companies, I am uniquely qualified to consult on the transaction lifecycle, from initial opportunity through post-transaction integration on either buy or sell side.
